Event Description

Sunshine Coast Elite Academy is launching the SCEA Unity College Basketball Academy in 2025 for serious ballers who want to up their game this year. Places in the SCEA Unity Basketball Academy are limited.

 

Conducted on school grounds twice per week, the Academy program is headed up by renowned Coach and SCEA founder Wallace Williams and boasts a program specifically curated and developed to take your child’s current basketball ability to a whole new level with specialist coaching, individual development and even some guest trainers along the way. If your child loves to ball and they want to level up their game – they’ll want to be a part of this Academy!

Fundamentals
Even at elite level, fundamentals form the foundation of every great player. We’ll also focus on power, strength, agility, elevation and more.
Technique
Shooting will form a major part of the academy program with an emphasis on consistency and form. Time to up your shooting technique!
Teamwork
Personal development aside, teamwork and communication is integral to a successful team/player on the court. There will also be some theoretical components that will include plays, learning, deciphering and reading both offensive and defensive plays, plus (where applicable) a watch-and-review of recorded games/scrimmages for analysis.
Mind and Body
The program will include injury prevention strategies, fitness programs plus strength and conditioning and guest coaches and trainers too.
Evaluation
Lets watch your child’s improvement throughout the year. We’ll be looking at specific individual goals and setting some targets and KPIs to measure performance throughout the year.

The program takes into consideration the basketball season and has been specifically curated to enhance performance in both peak and off-peak periods. This program will complement those playing at a high level at different stages of the year.
